摘要: BACKGROUND Intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) was introduced as a new guidance system for transcatheter closure of secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) with Amplatzer occluder (ASO). The aim this study to investigate the clinical outcome ICE-guided ASD compared trans-esophageal (TEE)-guided method. METHODS AND RESULTS From May 2003 April 2010, 560 patients who underwent using ASO in single institute were analyzed retrospectively. In TEE-guided group (n=237), all general anesthesia. median age 24.2 years (range, 14 months-63 years) and average weight 42.3 ± 21.6 kg 8.2-82 kg). One patient surgery due migration device. remaining 236 procedure successfully without significant complication. (n=323), 30.5 7 months-75 years). because mitral valve encroachment by left disk after device placement. Another also embolization. 321 procedures performed major complications. Procedure time 104.2 min 87.7 min, respectively (P<0.001). CONCLUSIONS occlusion is safe effective provides accurate anatomical information, sufficient perform procedure. addition, there benefits avoidance anesthesia, shorter time.
