摘要: Abstract Herein, porous ceria (CeO 2 ) hollow nanospheres composed of small nanoparticles have been controllably prepared through a simple one-step solvothermal reaction without using any hard-template. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning (FESEM) and N adsorption/desorption analysis. It was found that the CeO with an average diameter 3 nm uniform size 135 nm high specific surface area 145 m /g. A self-assembly process coupled Ostwald ripening mechanism for structures formation proposed based on series time-dependent HRTEM observations. catalytic performance Au/CeO composite catalyst CO oxidation also tested. results indicate these are excellent supports Au nanoparticles, conversion catalysis -A is 92% at ambient temperature. More importantly, could still be reached to 91% after had continuously used 20 h in room temperature, indicating activity durability.
