摘要: In a laboratory reactor, in which biofilm was grown on gas-permeable silicone membrane through oxygen supplied, the removal of xylene from bulk fluid investigated. A mathematical model, by aerobic degradation, growth, transport processes gas, and compartment pH are described, developed used to analyse effect various experimental parameters removal. It found that few days after experiment started, thickness reached an optimal value for all added reactor microbially degraded no longer transferred gas phase. Beyond thickness, growth led decrease percentage degraded. This tendency could partly be compensated increase hydraulic shear stress, supply or buffer concentration influent. computer simulation showed model able adequately reproduce data allowed identify relevant parameters, can control microbial volatile organics membrane-biofilm systems.
