摘要: Abstract Owing to their low diffusion constants and the (in general) irreversibility of adsorption, proteins can be used with advantage in elucidating general mechanism adsorption at interfaces. In present study air/water interface this has been followed firstly, absence an appreciable film pressure, that is very initial stages, secondly, later stages when pressure exists, due either protein itself or a spread monolayer. former case bulk accounts reasonably for observed rates; latter rates are much slower than calculated, suggesting building up barrier associated pressure.
