摘要: Data from two groups of infants (24 to 28 weeks9 gestational age) excluded a controlled trial the use calf lung surfactant extract for prevention hyaline membrane disease are reported. The were because mothers had received betamethasone greater than 24 hours prior delivery or because, on admission hospital, labor was too far advanced proper informed consent enter trial. Attempts made delay threatened premature by ritodrine in all without evidence infection, heavy vaginal bleeding, severe preeclampsia and induce production maternal injection betamethasone. A prospective scoring system respiratory support variables used compare groups. Infants born who successfully completed this regimen 28% incidence v 68% whose it unsuccessful due inability stop ( P = .001). Inspired oxygen, mean airway pressure, ventilator rate lower efficiency index higher treated group during first 48 life. An aggressive approach postpone using tocolysis glucocorticoids reduces very infants, gestation.
