摘要: Changes in rainfall availability will alter soil-nutrient under a climate-change scenario. However, studies have usually analyzed the effect of either drier or wetter soil conditions, despite fact that both possibilities coexist many climatic regions world. Furthermore, its may vary across different habitats ecosystem. We experimentally investigated three contrasting scenarios on carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) fractions microbial compartments among characteristic Mediterranean-type ecosystem: forest, shrubland, open areas. The were dry summers, according to 30% summer reduction projected Mediterranean; wet summer, simulating storms reach maximum historical records study area; current conditions (control). Sampling was replicated during two seasons (spring summer) 2 years. scenario did not affect nutrient content litter layer. nutrients varied seasons, habitats, scenarios. Soil-nutrient increased with lower soil-moisture (dry summer), whereas spring. This pattern consistent studied years, although it modulated by habitat, differences being denser plant cover. Holm oak seedlings, used as live control experiment, tended increase their N P (although significantly) water availability. Thus, results support idea higher boosts plant-nutrient uptake, hence cycling. By contrast, leads an accumulation soil, increasing risk loss leaching erosion. These show climate change significant effects cycles, therefore important implications ecosystem functioning.
