摘要: Three recombinant GH5 endoglucanases chosen for their contrasting hydrolytic activities, and a commercial endoglucanase were used to treat cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) after they milled from bleached eucalyptus pulp with supermasscolloider. This enzyme “post-treatment” resulted in different properties the CNFs depending on treatment. The degree of polymerization, water retention value enzymatic digestibility estimate extent fibrillation. Morphologies observed by SEM TEM. Electron microscopy images indicated post-treatment could efficiently improve nanosize uniformity supermasscolloider All post-treated had diameter between 3 19 nm 70–89 % 5 9 nm. no reported activity crystalline was most aggressive GH5s studied reducing DP CNFs.
