摘要: The calorimetric properties and morphological structures of dispersed mixtures 1, 2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC) highly purified human brain gangliosides, GM2, GM1, GD1a, GD1b, GT1b, were studied using a high-sensitivity differential scanning calorimeter an electron-microscope, as function the ganglioside molar fraction. No thermal phase transitions pure gangliosides in aqueous dispersions could be detected. In DPPC gel to liquid crystalline transition occurred at higher temperature than progressed over wide range. As increasing amounts species added DPPC, for main gradually increased. differently among different gangliosides/DPPC mixtures. enthalpy values found decrease linearly number sialic acid residues Electron-microscopically ganglioside/DPPC formed multilamellar lower concentrations changed cylindrical spherical micelles concentration was polysialoganglioside/DPPC showed micellar form even concentrations, contrary case monosialoganglioside/DPPC changes corresponded with properties. These results show that individual have physicochemical effects on model membranes, possibly because interaction their negatively charged head groups.
