Antiviral activity of lignans and their glycosides from Justicia procumbens

摘要: Abstract Ten antiviral lignans, seven known (justicidins A, B, C and D, diphyllin, diphyllin apioside apioside-5-acetate) three new compounds, justicidinosides A (justicidin 6′- O -glucoside), B -glucoside) were isolated from a methanolic extract of the aerial parts Justicia procumbens var. leucantha . Justicidins apioside-5-acetate showed strong activity (the MIC less than 0.25 μg ml −1 , respectively) against vesicular stomatitis virus low cytotoxicity MTC larger 31 cultured rabbit lung cells (RL-33).
