摘要: Hyperthermia (42-43 C) appears to potentiate the effects of radiation therapy in experimental tumor models. In addition, some studies indicate that tumors may be sensitized a greater extent than normal tissue. This study was designed test whether effectiveness irradiating human enhanced significantly by concomitant heating. We also examined skin see if heating response tissues. Nineteen patients with multiple metastatic superficial masses various histologies were studied. Two or more same patient matched for size and location, so one patient's own control monitor effect irradiation alone. One nodules given hyperthermia (43 15 minutes before 30 after each fraction. seven evaluable received heat addition had objective receiving increased cutaneous reaction heated area; these severe desquamative reaction, which conformed shape ultrasound field. These results suggest improves tomore » tumors; two cases it appeared sensitize as well.« less
