摘要: Abstract This study confirms the existence of Fe 23 Zr 6 in an Fe-9.8 at.% alloy. phase forms from α-Fe + 2 eutectic during high temperature annealing. Previously, formation was explained by simple diffusion iron atoms into Laves intermetallic; however, this mechanism does not explain presence α-Zr within phase. We have proposed a two-step for formation: decomposes α-Zr, and reacts with to form more . The slow kinetics is due its dependence on atomic through intermetallic phases.
