摘要: The synthesis, rheological, and fluorescence properties of a novel water-soluble polymer based on micelle-forming monomer are reported. Sodium 11-(acrylamido)undecanoate (SA), surface-active monomer, copolymerizes readily with acrylamide (AM) to give high molecular weight polymer. Incorporation the fluorescent [2-(1-pyrenylsulfonamido)ethyl]acrylamide into feed yields terpolymer associative solution different from previously synthesized AM/SA copolymers. label acts as model hydrophobe ; changes in associations that elicit viscosity response copolymers also affect emission characteristics pyrene label. Steady-state studies reveal significant constriction chain pH decreases or electrolyte concentration increases. As result, nature pyrene-pyrene association can be varied inter- intramolecular acid Fluorescence quenching indicate salt-induced contraction may enhance organization mixed polymeric micelles formed by SA repeat units. Emission solutions labeled copolymer surfactants micellar bridging mechanism. steady-state techniques employed confirm pronounced salt-responsiveness AM/SA-based polymers observed studies.
