摘要: The magnetostratigraphy of eleven new sections in the Khaur area northern Pakistan is presented. All specimens have been subjected to thermal demagnetization. sections, taken adjacent ravines incising Siwalik formations nearly penpendicular strike, form a temporal framework which interpret biological and lithological information. A composite section constructed from several long correlated magnetic polarity time scale (Chron 6 Chron 15), providing absolute age information for biostratigraphic zonations Barry et al. (1982). Detailed along strike major stratigraphic marker beds document an isochronous horizon basis paleoenvironmental reconstructions. preservation transition fluvial sediments suggests continuity sedimentation on 103–104 years.
