摘要: This chapter summarizes the state-of-the-art related to safety analysis of hydrogen vehicles and infrastructure. Many aspects have been treated in more detail reports European Commission-supported HySafe Network (www.hysafe.net). The potential use as an energy carrier particular its application a fuel require new operational parameters which are very different from those currently used chemical petrochemical industries. is why industrial experience gained so far applicable only partially. Safety analyses definition acceptable risk levels, implicitly or explicitly contained standards regulations might be derived established technologies. A quantitative measure product probabilistic factor representing frequency occurrence hazardous events associated damage. As these frequencies failures largely unknown difficult predict, it recommended focus on deterministic evaluation damage effectiveness mitigation measures. For consequences, distribution, ignition, combustion phenomena key elements event sequence. distribution well understood long phase transition near-critical conditions excluded. latter linked mainly liquid applications. knowledge modeling capabilities regarding ignition still incomplete. classification sources into weak strong igniters degree conservatism assumptions about timing location under development. Transitional behavior flames plays important role. principal mechanisms captured, but transfer real accidental scenarios physical domains not yet accomplished. Commonly agreed, harmonized performancebased standardization international level relies appropriate understanding relevant mechanisms. will further developed by internationally coordinated pre-normative research.
