摘要: Epichloe/Neotyphodium endophytes are a group of clavicipitaceous fungi that form symbiotic associations (symbiota) with temperate grasses such as perennial ryegrass and tall fescue. The fungus derives nutrients from the host means dissemination through seed. plant acquires increased tolerance to biotic abiotic stresses herbivory water insufficiency. Fungal synthesis anti-insect anti-mammalian secondary metabolites appears be mechanism for protection symbiotum herbivory. Genes biosynthesis lolines, ergot alkaloids indole-diterpenes have recently been cloned shown organised in gene clusters. In most cases these genes not expressed axenic culture but highly up-regulated grass host. A molecular analysis regulation will provide fundamental insights into interaction between symbiont. Interaction symbiont also involves exchange primary metabolites. vitamin B1 has deleted E. typhina examine effect this change on fungal compatibility Vitamin auxotrophs were effective wild-type both colonisation stromata formation.
