摘要: Abstract Objectives. We attempted to answer the question, Is balloon angioplasty a reasonable alternative repeat coronary artery bypass graft surgery in patients with previous surgery, medically refractory unstable angina and vein lesions? Background. Patients need revascularization. are at “high risk” for adverse outcomes surgery. Conversely, of old grafts also outcomes. Methods. Balloon 89 lesions saphenous was performed 75 consecutive angina. Of these patients, 24 (32%) had myocardial infarct within 30 days, 23 (31%) left ventricular ejection fraction Results. Angiographic success (reduction stenosis ≤50% without major complication) seen 84 lesions. Clinical (angiographic plus hospital discharge 70 patients. During index hospitalization, two (3%) died, nonfatal infarcts, one (1%) emergency reoperation (coronary surgery). In late follow up (3 66 months), 14 (20%) were lost follow-up, 17 (23%) percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, 2 reoperation, 18 (25%) death, 1 ( Conclusions. aggressive adjunctive pharmacotherapy is angina, narrowing.
