Synthesis of nano-sized YAG:Eu3+ phosphor in continuous supercritical water system

摘要: Abstract Luminescent yttrium aluminum garnet (Y 3 Al 5 O 12 ) nanoparticles doped with Eu (YAG:Eu 3+ were continuously synthesized by directly feeding potassium hydroxide solution and metal salt to supercritical water (SCW). Effects of concentration, pH, residence time on photo-luminescence studied using a continuous tubular reactor. Residence played key role in producing single-phase YAG:Eu nanoparticles. The 20 s under SCW conditions (400 °C 280 bar) was enough form phosphor without any intermediate phases. At this time, the concentration pH condition contributed improving size, morphology luminescent property YAG: average size prepared at 10 at.% 9.10 74 nm identified as nearly uniform spherical-like shape. Without further thermal treatment, reactor showed strong luminescence properties red emission spectra.
