摘要: Overnutrition characterized by overconsumption of food rich in fat and carbohydrates is a significant contributor to hypertension, type 2 diabetes, the cardiorenal syndrome (CRS). Obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus are associated with substantially increased prevalence arterial disease (AD), which involved risk coronary, cerebral, peripheral atherosclerosis clinical consequences myocardial infarction, stroke, limb ischemia, death. Although underlying mechanisms mediators AD not well understood, accumulating evidence supports role dysregulation VSMCs, ECs, vascular extracellular matrix pathogenesis AD. Risk factors related CRS misregulation adaptive metabolic responses develop complex network contribute progression In this review, we will focus on interaction factors, response, AD, highlighting pathophysiology molecular mechanisms, as contemporary understanding potential therapeutic strategies.
