摘要: Objectives: Patients consulting for nasal septum deviation are partly referred surgical treatment. Objective of this review is to examine what effects can be predicted from the treatment deviation. Methods: Critical papers found by literature search (period 1966-1995) in Medline and references selected papers. Results: All 17 studies had their methodological weaknesses. About two out three patients reported satisfied with results surgery. Only a few measured outcomes objectively; most used symptoms that have low specificity deviation. Conclusions: The clinical relevance remains doubtful. A high-quality randomised trial needed objectively measure Until then, general practitioners should cautious regarding referral condition.
