摘要: Abstract Background The left anterior descending artery (LAD) supplies the ventricle in humans. LAD ligation has been commonly used rats to induce ventricular (LV) infarction for research purposes. However, myocardial supply territories of are not well established rats. We measured zone after mid-LAD. Methods Twenty-four male Sprague–Dawley weighing 300–350 g were selected induction ischemic cardiomyopathy. surgery was performed under full anesthesia. Left-sided thoracotomy through cuts fifth and sixth ribs. Ligation 1 2 mm distal a line between border pulmonary conus right atrial appendage. ligated first diagonal septal branches. After 24 h, hearts removed stained with Tetrazolium Tetrachloride (TTC) detection infracted areas. Results induces 85% free wall septum 100% septum. Infarction extends all way site down apex heart.
