摘要: Freshwater wetlands can, in some circumstances, renovate added secondarily treated wastewater, thus providing an alternative to land or water disposal expensive physical‐chemical treatment processes. This review summarizes North American studies the contexts of ecosystem function and quality changes, for both natural artificial wetland ecosystems. All components are involved alteration dissolved nutrient status sediment content water. The results recent interpreted terms principles hydrology cycling wetlands. Initial uptake mechanisms involve sorption microbial processes, such as denitrification. Peat soils provide a maximum condition this rapid uptake. Detritus supports populations active periphyton, which coupled with other algae, represent second temporary sink. vascular plant community also represents storage may be exploited by herbivores de...
