摘要: Issue ownership, which has a competence and an associative dimension, refers to the link between issues parties in voters' minds. Although used frequently voting research, there remain worries about validity of its current measures. The measures may be confounded with respondents' (dis)agreement parties' position general party evaluations. Through question wording experiment we compare both issue ownership types test are most affected by two confounding factors. We find that heavily factors while wordings less. Challenging existing especially classic ‘best at handling’-wording tapping is conflated positions preference.
