摘要: This paper demonstrates the feasibility of layered space-time coding (STC) in an outdoor image-sensor-based (IS-based) visible light communication (VLC) system. We examined that for low-resolution IS-based VLC channel where intensity-modulated signals from two different emitting diodes (LEDs) are detected by one pixel IS, STC allows us to decouple them; thus, succeeding receive them with no errors. Consequently, offers extended transmission distance pixel-resolution-limited links. In presented this paper, additional bit streams laid on ${2^n\times 2^n}$ LED array increasing rate per symbol duration case resolution is improved. A prototype a three-layered built ${8\times 8}$ array, each LEDs modulated at 1 kb/s and high-speed camera IS operating 1000 fps. Our experimental results validate (layer-2 -3), aligned layer-1 matrix pair, extracted errors when receiver comes within 155 55 m, respectively, LED without decreasing 210 m stream.
