Apparent surface rate constants in diffusion problems : Flux constriction effects

摘要: The impact of surface inhomogeneities on diffusion kinetics in solids is investigated by assuming that the exchange diffusing species takes place at active spots or stripes only. Finite element simulations are analyzed basis analytical approximations. Such lateral lead to an apparent rate constant even cases which local infinitely fast. influence geometric parameters (e.g., size and distance between sites) as well control such temperature investigated.
