摘要: This study analyzes 39 Atlantic and seven Pacific benthic δ13C records to characterize obliquity precession responses in overturning since 3 Ma. Regional stacks are also analyzed. A major transition orbital is observed at 1.5–1.6 Ma coincident with the first glacial shoaling of Northern Component Water. Since ∼1.5 Ma, phases from 2300 4000 m depth lag maximum by 59° (6.7 kyr) June perihelion forcing 133° (8.5 kyr). Comparison North sea surface temperature suggests that these (particularly precession) middle deep associated changes ocean heat transport rates. The mid-Pleistocene had little effect on but did result a ∼50% decrease power 0.6
