AFAR: A robust and delay-constrained communication framework for smart grid applications

摘要: Abstract The existing electrical grid is now experiencing a revolutionary change to new paradigm, i.e., smart grid, due the development of information and communication technologies. Communications among components such as sensors, intelligent electronic devices (IED), meters automatic metering infrastructure (AMI) are some key successfully build grid. To reduce installation costs spatial limits, wireless communications considered effective techniques in However, severe interference electromagnetic wave generated by devices, strict requirements applications delay-constraint, short delay, reliability, scalability making network protocols inappropriate for applications. In this paper, we propose AFAR provide robust delay-constrained services while satisfying their successfully. This paper includes detailed description framework, mathematical modeling, OPNET simulation, co-simulation between OpenDSS evaluate under specific application scenario.
