摘要: Methamphetamine-associated psychosis (MAP) has been considered a pharmacological or environmental pathogen model of schizophrenia (SCZ) due in part to similarities clinical presentation (i.e. paranoia, hallucinations, disorganized speech, and negative symptoms), response treatment (e.g. neuroleptics), pathologic mechanisms central dopaminergic neurotransmission) both conditions. In this chapter, we will provide an introduction the typical features course MAP as well review discussion current putative genetic biomarkers for MAP. We conclude with future directions application specific focus on how it may serve elucidate further complex neuromechanisms discovery viable SCZ.
