摘要: Supplementary information for our manuscript, entitled 'Spontaneous Skyrmion Ground States of Magnetic Metals', cond-mat/0603103, is presented. The physical nature the gradient terms generalized micromagnetic model ferromagnets with softened longitudinal fluctuations explained. relationship spin fluctuation theory itinerant-electron magnets discussed. Experimental estimates parameter eta, which accounts an effective reduced stiffness, are presented real materials from published polarized neutron scattering experiments on EuS, Ni and MnSi. available experimental data clearly show that eta significantly latter two systems. It suggested particle-hole excitations at root this softness in ferromagnets. current status evidence supporting spontaneous, amorphous skyrmion textures MnSi other reviewed. Finally, we also address general potential chiral fields physics.
