摘要: Increasing interest is devoted to the development of solar powered plants in countries Arabian Peninsula. However, unique climatological conditions region, characterized by high dust concentrations, humidity and modest cloud coverage, cause a challenge radiation estimations. This study presents compares yearly direct normal, diffuse horizontal global irradiation maps for years 2008 2010 over United Arab Emirates using an ensemble artificial neural network model cloudiness index corrected semi-empirical model, both which were derived from satellite images. A validation against ground measurements one station also performed.
