摘要: Process for the production of 9-( Beta -Darabinofuranosyl)adenine by inoculating an aqueous nutrient medium, preferably containing sources assimilable carbon and nitrogen added inorganic salt having a pH between about 6 8, with -D-arabinofuranosyl)adenine-producing strain Streptomyces antibioticus, such as corresponding to NRRL 3238, conducting fermentation under aseptic aerobic conditions at temperature 20* 45* C. until substantial quantity is formed, isolating desired product from mixture. The process useful antiviral agent that active in vitro vivo against both herpes vaccinia viruses.
