摘要: Lime was investigated as a soil amendment to decrease phosphorus (P) loss in runoff from two Delaware sandy loam soils, one high and low P. Soils were limed at three rates (control target pH values of 6 6.8, respectively), packed into boxes (2,000 cm2) received simulated rainfall (80 mm h−1 for 30 min). showed potential P runoff, but its effectiveness specific dependant on other management factors also. decreased dissolved reactive (DRP) organic (DOP) by 20–25 52–93 %, respectively, the high-P particulate (PP) 13 % low-P soil. The majority lost DOP (3–29 %) or PP (64–96 %). increased losses finer-textured following application, indicating that sorption can lead if is sorbed more erodable particles. Initial status important than liming determining loss. While amendments may short term, addressing nutrient imbalances field scale clearly necessary long term. Losses significantly inorganic application. Although rapidly, with less 2 added removed mean concentrations excess 700 μg l−1 DRP, 2,500 OP 6,500 recorded both soils immediately
