摘要: The GAVI Alliance, a key institution in saving poor children by increasing the use of vaccines, is mounting campaign early 2011 to raise $4.1 billion close its funding crisis. Yet much this shortfall stems from own decisions, especially around Advance Market Commitment (AMC), costly kind surplus contract using save selling new, global pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCVs) at deep discount. This essay explains how AMC became contract, why it and are financial straits both. It concludes with thoughts about generous caring donors can maximize number saved.
