Management of Intracranial Meningioma

摘要: Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate different modalities treatment intracranial meningioma which admitted neurosurgery department Sohag University through two years. Methods: we operated upon 30 patients with the oldest was 70 years old and youngest 16 old, mean age 49.23 21 females 9 males, according complaint most common headache in 20 cases, followed by fits 12 then weakness 6 mental behavioral changes 5 vision 4cases. Results: lesion totally removed 24 cases subtotal cases. Among these 22 improved, 7 remained same, one patient deteriorated. complicated CSF leak 4 wound infection, only  two  showed increased weakness, As for pathology transitional meningiomas, fibroblastic 2 atypical meningiothelial psammomatus 3 mixed meningiomas. Conclusion: use both computerized tomography magnetic resonance imaging found be mandatory none them can replace other proper accurate diagnosis visualization meningiomas preoperatively.  The choice surgical approach remains that surgeon guided tumor nature many factors. Although approaches were extremely satisfactory when properly selected, every effort should done applying minimally invasive as well key-hole surgery whenever appropriately indicated availability their modern technical instrumentations adjunctive image guidance.
