摘要: The attractiveness of two vertebrate pest-control baits (non-toxic RS5 and Pindone-impregnated AgTech) to captive skinks (Oligosoma maccanni) was assessed with timelapse video feeding trials in New Zealand. 0. maccanni were attracted both bait types. When dry, pindone more palatable than baits. However, when wet the palatability increased similar. Bait size had no significant effect on palatability. Lizards ate an average 0.01 g or 0.02 Agtech Pindone bait, over days. On basis published susceptibility data, it is unlikely that this level consumption would expose lethal doses these pest toxins. Potential sublethal effects such require further study.
