摘要: A formaldehyde resistant (R) phenotype ofPseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from a formaldehydesensitive (S) parent by sequential treatment with 1,3,5-tris-(ethyl)hexahydro-s-triazine (ET). The resistance of the strain to ET approximately 3-fold higher than parental strain. Two modes ET, and simultaneous formaldehyde, are demonstrated: (1) transient or induced is expressed during shor-term exposure this gradually lost subsequent growth in absence (2) that results stable phenotypic change following ((R) phenotype). observed activities three forms oxidizing enzyme, dehydrogenase, strongly correlated relative response strains ET. appears be due high levels an NAD+-linked, glutathione-dependent form dehydrogenase as well dye-linked dehydrogenase. involves increase activity ATCC ofP. aeruginosa, however, two NAD+-linked enzyme (glutathione-dependent (EC 1.2.1.1) independent 1.2.1.46)) no contribution enzyme.
