Sarcocornia neei is a halophyte that grows on the coast of Valparaiso Region Chile. Studies related to its nutritional and functional value under wild cultivated conditions are not available. Thus, in this study, (complete proximal, mineral dietary fiber analysis) characterization (total phenolics, β-carotene, hydrophilic lipophilic antioxidant activity (HAA LAA) ascorbic acid) were performed for plants. Wild plants displayed higher amounts compounds involved stress defense mechanisms such as total proteins, ash. The analysis revealed Na + Cl - main ions accumulated present significantly fiber, phenolics HAA than Similar contents LAA acid found results from study provide information potential be consumed leafy green vegetable with important nutrients metabolites.
