摘要: Abstract Chestnut-bellied starlings ( Spreo pulcher ) live in social groups of 10–30 individuals and during their breeding seasons maintain group ranges which show little overlap with neighbouring groups. A may contain two to six pairs, non-breeding adults both sexes, immatures. Each female has her own nest she alone incubates. The parents up 12 other feed the nestlings. Individual helpers successively or simultaneously attend nests different breeders. percentage attended within a differs for sex, age status: immatures 1–2 years adult males help most females least.
