摘要: Objective To investigate the reliability, validity, and responsiveness of Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire (MHQ) in patients with trapeziometacarpal (TMC) joint osteoarthritis (OA). Methods In this prospective observational study, diagnosed TMC OA who received either conservative or surgical treatment were included. At baseline at 1 year following beginning treatment, we measured key pinch strength filled out MHQ, Disabilities Arm, Shoulder (DASH) questionnaire, Short Form 12 health survey. Patients also completed these questionnaires 2–11 days after last study visit. In order to analyze measurement properties calculated test–retest reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC]), internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha for 6 subscales), construct validity (Pearson's [r]), (effect sizes), minimum important change (MIC). Results We included 177 patients, whom 109 scheduled surgery. The mean ± SD MHQ total score increased from 48 14 75 18 (P ≤ 0.001). contrast, no effect was observed group = 0.74). showed excellent (ICC 0.95) correlated strongly DASH (r −0.77). Internal subscales ranged between 0.77 0.89. A large size 1.7 found an MIC 17 points. Conclusion The demonstrated good can be recommended as a suitable assessment instrument population.
