摘要: This study investigated the seasonality in income and poverty Nigeria using Akwa Ibom State as a case with particular emphasis on rural food crop farmers. Multistage sampling was used to randomly select 150 respondents for study. Descriptive statistics FGT model were tools of analyses. It is revealed that more farmland over 392.1 ha brought under cultivation rainy season while only 152.9 cultivated during dry/off-season. Consequently, significant level than N304 m generated which higher N110 dry season. Again, 59.1% total came from production 29.9% The profile shows incidence, depth severity among female males off-season also are less educated, non-members co-operative groups household members above 6 vulnerable due increased dependency, consumption expenditure. Number years education, farming experience extension contacts found be reducing. Although there increase per capita season, they did not translate into reduction population especially females below line. may suggested market access could constraint. Large sizes age welfare reducing probability falling line increases. Hence, policies programmes towards linking situations, family planning social aged strongly advocated. existing free compulsory education even at tertiary should maintained improve upon. Gender friendly compatible intervention put place get out both off-season.
