摘要: Prefrontal cortex (PFC) is thought to support the ability focus on goal-relevant information by filtering out irrelevant information, a process akin dimensionality reduction. Here, we find direct evidence of goal-directed data compression within medial PFC during learning, such that degree neural predicts an individual’s selectively attend concept-specific information. These findings suggest domaingeneral mechanism learning through in mPFC.
