摘要: A system for estimating a velocity of stress wave induced in log or tree stem is used to maximize the value wood products produced. An accelerometer placed against while struck with pneumatic hammer. By monitoring signals received at accelerometer, can be determined. Based on velocity, an estimate modulus elasticity (MOE) made. price table selected that relates different sizes lumber having determined current market value. The then cut such produced maximized.
