An upper limit on the cosmic-ray luminosity of individual sources from gamma-ray observations

摘要: Different types of extragalactic objects are known to produce TeV gamma-rays. Some these the most probable candidates accelerate cosmic rays up 1020 eV. It is very well that gamma-rays can be produced as a result ray propagation through intergalactic medium. These contribute total flux observed in direction source. In this paper we propose new method derive an upper limit on cosmic-ray luminosity individual source based measured integral GeV-TeV We show how it possible calculate particular and explore parameter space which current gamma-ray measurements offer useful determination. study detail two sources, Pictor A NGC 7469, proton each by H.E.S.S. telescopes.
