摘要: The millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies offer the availability of huge bandwidths to provide unprecedented data rates next-generation cellular mobile terminals. However, mmWave links are highly susceptible rapid channel variations and suffer from severe free-space pathloss atmospheric absorption. To address these challenges, base stations terminals will use directional antennas achieve sufficient link budget in wide area networks. consequence is need for precise alignment transmitter receiver beams, an operation which may increase latency establishing a link, has important implications control layer procedures, such as initial access, handover beam tracking. This tutorial provides overview recently proposed measurement techniques mobility management networks, gives insights into design accurate, reactive robust schemes suitable 3GPP NR (NR) network. We illustrate that best strategy depends on specific environment nodes deployed, give guidelines inform optimal choice function system parameters.
