摘要: In plants, the circadian clock is an endogenous mechanism that controls a wide range of biological processes. To date, as one key world crops, little known about molecular and components in maize (Zea mays). this study, we characterized CIRCADIAN CLOCK ASSOCIATED1 gene (ZmCCA1), ortholog CCA1 Arabidopsis thaliana (AtCCA1). Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed ZmCCA1 was expressed leaves stem apex meristems rhythmic pattern under long day short conditions, its peak expression appeared during morning. transcripts accumulated all tissues evaluated, with higher levels tassels ears. Additionally, another photoperiod ZmTOC1 peaked 12 h after dawn on days at 10 h days. Subcellular localization protein directed to cell nucleus. Overexpression Arabidopsis reduced downstream genes, including GIGANTEA (AtGI), CONSTANS (AtCO), FLOWERING LOCUST (AtFT), resulted longer hypocotyls delayed flowering. Taken together, our data suggest may be core component maize.
