摘要: Understanding people’s perceptions and preferences towards forest stand characteristics can bring many benefits to managers in the short term. This study aims identify compare perception of Trentino province (Italy) Rakhiv region (Ukraine). These regions were chosen as areas for two main reasons: both are mountain local communities strictly dependent on resource. Data collected through a questionnaire administered sample people. The data statistically analysed highlight preferred type forests related different characteristics. results comparative analysis confirmed importance socio-demographic shaping respondents’ preferences. show that respondents case studies prefer mixed with random distribution trees diameter sizes.
