摘要: Previous studies have demonstrated a potential relationship between psychological stress and platelet activation, which may serve as link myocardial infarction (MI). However, the possibility that personality traits associated with coronary heart disease affect activation has not been adequately investigated. The effect of laboratory stressor (Type A Structured Interview (SI) speech task) on was assessed in 14 stable post-MI patients 15 age-matched healthy men, using standardized method measuring plasma beta-thromboglobulin (BTG) levels. BTG levels were increased after (average change = 2.0 ng/ml, p .005). Increases related to higher SI ratings Potential for Hostility (r .53, .004) Type behavior .43, .02) but Cook-Medley-rated hostility scores. norepinephrine diastolic blood pressure nonsignificantly increases (ps < .10), whereas epinephrine unrelated. Despite ceasing aspirin other inhibitors 10 days before testing, individuals taking study had less (p .05). statistical adjustment this factor, still strongly (adjusted r .56, .002). Contrary expectations, men tended greater than .06). These results indicate acute is reactivity, independent any long term effects inhibition.
