摘要: Methyl valerate (C$_6$H$_{12}$O$_2$, methyl pentanoate) is a ester and relevant surrogate component for biodiesel. In this work, we present ignition delays of measured using rapid compression machine at range engine-relevant temperature, pressure, equivalence ratio conditions. The conditions have studied include ratios from 0.25 to 2.0, temperatures between 680 K 1050 K, pressures 15 bar 30 bar. delay data demonstrate negative temperature coefficient region in the 720 K-800 both $\phi$=2.0, $\phi$=1.0, bar, with two-stage apparent over narrower ranges K-760 lower pressure 740 higher pressure. addition, experimental are compared simulations an existing chemical kinetic model literature. literature under-predict by factors 2 10 entire data. To help determine possible reasons discrepancy experiments, new developed Reaction Mechanism Generator (RMG) software. agreement RMG improved but still not satisfactory. Directions future improvement discussed.
