摘要: Recent surveys at slaughterhouses confirmed the presence of three different species Echinococcus granulosus sensu lato in France: E. stricto, ortleppi, and canadensis G6/7. The latter was only identified on French Mediterranean island Corsica, with a high prevalence pigs wild boar. In order to investigate life cycle this region, dog feces were collected 31 municipalities, mainly from individual kennels. analysis fecal samples 259 dogs by multiplex real-time PCR shows no infection but infected Genetic analyses mitochondrial genes (cox1, nad1, nad3, atp6) revealed two haplotype previously pigs. third new differing others mutations nad3 gene. This is genetically closer those rather than boars. Analysis questionnaires completed owners that sampled population almost exclusively composed hunting had been infrequently dewormed. Most (78%) leave carcasses hunter-harvested boar close proximity their dogs. Nevertheless, genetic results seem indicate due consumption pig's viscera following home slaughtering. study confirms role as definitive hosts G6/7 Corsica. Further molecular studies, notably human cases, are needed assess zoonotic impact region.
