摘要: Within an Open Science project, research was carried out to describe the public of Ghirardi Botanic Garden (BS, Lombardy, Italy) invisible features plants. This work is dedicated Scutellaria altissima L. (Lamiaceae). Micromorphological, histochemical and phytochemical investigations were conducted on vegetative reproductive organs correlate structures involved in emission substances their unique productivity. reports volatile organic compound (VOC) profiles leaves flowers composition essential oil (EO) obtained from aerial parts plants cultivated Italy that have never been described before. Three morphotypes glandular trichomes observed: peltate, short-stalked capitate long-stalked capitate. Peltate main producers terpenes, capitates polysaccharides terpenes polyphenols. The leaf VOC profile showed heterogeneous composition, with non-terpene derivatives as major chemical class (71.04%), while monoterpene hydrocarbons represented almost totality flower (99.73%). presented a higher number total (37 versus 11) exclusive (33 7) compounds. (Z)-3-Hexenol acetate most abundant (E)-β-ocimene flower. Four common compounds detected: β-pinene, β-caryophyllene, γ-muurolene germacrene-D. EO contaied 21 compounds, dominated by linalool hexahydrofarnesyl acetone. allowed us secretory production secondary metabolites, aim providing iconographic approach, which accounts for olfactory perception linked S. altissima.
