摘要: Surface water samples from Godavari river basin was analyzed quantitatively for the concentration of eight heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, nickel and zinc using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The data revealed that iron were found to be most abundant in its tributaries. Iron (Fe) recorded highest, while cadmium (Cd) had least concentration. Arsenic, are within acceptable limit BIS (Bureau Indian Standards (BIS) 1050 (2012) Specification drinking water, pp 1–5). analysis tributary’s reveals is contaminated at selected points which not suitable drinking. Nickel Copper above other metal limit. Comprehensive study results out 18 quality stations monitored, collected 7 permissible all purposes. While Rajegaon, Tekra, Nandgaon, P. G. It can concluded rapid population growth industrialization have brought about resource degradation a decline environmental quality.
